There are always concerns about new technology. In your view, what are the possible benefits and problems attached to the Internet?

An positive from the uses of the new technology from the internet is the uses of a lot more interaction the world, the uses of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter has really brought all of the world much closer, even celebrities have been more connected to fans from these uses, this really does portray the amount of power the internet brings as it connects everyone around the world to interact with a lot of people.
An negative from the uses of the new technology from the internet is that the use of privacy has really become hard to control, reason being is that the internet seems to be very public but also the use of hackers make it much harder for people to have privacy. Examples such as people's photo's being leaked online without them having no idea or e-mails getting hacked, this really does portray the lack of privacy on the internet.

Another positive from the uses of new technology from the internet is uses of getting a lot more information, this is very effective as search drives such as Google and Yahoo really does give users of the internet a lot of power to research sources they would want to find information on and really does imply the amount of information that the internet brings to the world. Another negative from the uses of new technology from the internet is the uses of having pornographic and paedophilia videos, this is very negative as this could end up in the wrong hands of a child and coming across these videos and would really put a negative affect on them, this surely is not good for children and puts them at huge risk when browsing on the internet.

When linking this to a Media theory I would link this to Andrew Keen's idea of web pages and blogs to the activity of a million monkeys typing nonsense and this really does portray the internet to be very negative as it seems that many of the information is a whole load of rubbish and being explained by a bunch 'monkeys' and really does question the internet and is it very useful or a danger to corrupting people's lives. Another media theory that I would link this to The Pareto theory which is also known as the 80/20 rule, this means that 80% of the media is controlled by 20% of Media institutions, I would link this to the uses of twitter, reason being is that 80% of the actual tweets are created by 20% which could really imply that twitter is not really used but only used to seek information and find out the latest news etc.

In my opinion I think that the internet offers both positive and negative sources, from the uses of interacting with a lot more people is very positive as this means it is much easier to connect with people across the world which im sure satisfies a lot of many people that have family abroad, however the lack of false information on the internet really does put a bad affect on the internet as this really does unsatisfy a lot of people as many information seems to be very false and makes many people not want to use the internet. Overall I would say that the internet is a very powerful source and I believe its a way forward to open our world and connect with a lot more people.

This is linked to new and media from the uses of promoting the amount of failure AVB has gained this season, from the uses of many people tweeting AVB out too the major newspapers naming the favourite managers to replace really did put huge pressure on AVB to make him get sacked from tottenham

1) The Pareto theory which is also known as the 80/20 rule, this means that 80% of the media is controlled by 20% of Media institutions.
2) You can apply Pareto's law theory Italy's population. He notified that 80% of Italy's land was owned by 20% of the population in Italy. He also implied that this theory was linked to a lot of other countries. He also linked this theory to the ten richest men in the world, explaining that the top three richest men ( Carlos Slim Hemu, Warren Barrett and Bill Gates) own much more than the other seven men put together.
